She should have been placed on admin leave like she thought she was. Least the school can do.

Yeah, there is definitely something missing in this story. Teacher says she "tried to communicate with APA was 'I'm OK to return but I need something until an arrest is made. My safety and well-being has been threatened and I don't feel safe.'"
When asked about what happened after she brought those concerns to APA, she said "All of a sudden, automated messages from the HR system just started entering: unpaid day, unpaid day, unpaid day."
That doesn't make sense with respect to the question she was asked.
It should go without saying that her assault is terrible, but I don't understand how things were handled afterward.
This happened with 3 weeks left in the school year and now the teach is enrolled in law school? Feels like there are some gaps in how this went down as she was presumably on her way out.
