It should be "Days with sunset after 6 or 7." The 5pm is bullshite and demonstrates a bias to have people favor the way it currently stands.

Well, Republicans have majority control of the House so they co6ld get it done if they wanted. Guess since the Senate is Dem majority they won't out of spite. That's the way the shitshow usually plays out for both sides.

Yes, Dems and Repubs would probably both agree on this, so out of spite neither will do it.

Our leadership. Just lovely, isn’t it?

This. IDGAF if it’s permanent standard time or permanent DST as long as it sticks with one or the other.

No matter what, the days will be longer in the summer and shorter in the winter. No matter what, you’re going to have people on the edges of each time zone who bitch about it. Just pick one.

It’s more like pulling the blanket that’s half on the floor up to cover you better

Leaving work in the dark sucks.

So does going to work in the dark….

They tried DST all year round in the 70’s and parents complained about kids waiting for the school bus in the dark….

In some areas it won’t get light till after 8. AM …

I work 12 hour shifts, at this point, I leave for work in the dark and get home in the dark.

Split the difference (30 minutes) and leave it alone. So easy.

It’s been pretty much proven that permanent standard time is the way to go

Personally, I don't like daylight savings time. I like normal time.

Go screw yourself ya childless fricks. I like to do activities with my kids OUTSIDE after work and that's a lot easier to do if it's still daylight.

It should always be daylight savings time and I'm willing to fight over it.

Let it be dark while we're going to work/school. Most of us aren't outside while at work or school. It's a waste of daylight. buck up and get on the bus while it's still dark. stop being pussies, America.

Install some stadium lights at your place. Standard time year-round.

I did see some poor kids waiting for a bus this morning at 5:40 going to my deer stand. That seems pretty shitty to me.

Should kids have to wait for and ride the bus 2 hours before school? That's just asinine. Don't blame the sun for that.

And as crime is increasing across the country, we will be leaving work at dark, often in places where we don't like to be after dark...I hate it.
