Daylight Saving Time: Should Louisiana make this permanent?

My last post may have violated some TD rules about polling so i'll rephrase the topic.
Would you support daylight savings time being year round? If not, why not?
If so, how does this get accomplished? I've emailed my local state rep before but nothing ever came of it.

Yes, absolutely.
It's dumb that we still change our clocks twice a year.

I care. I like having the extra hour of daylight after work.

People that enjoy daylight when they get home from work... Are you for or against and why?

There are more car accidents and cardiac events in the week following "Spring Forward" than any other week of the year.
It's fricking lunacy that this sham is still practiced.

We should continually adjust the clocks so it gets dark at 7:30 every night. It would take a little getting used to but once everyone is trained it should go smoothly.

Yes, I hate it being dark at 5:30pm.

Not if he wants to be taken seriously.

Dammit. I had envisioned that poll thread really turning some heads among the powers that be in deciding these kinds of things.

Try 4:45 in November.

AZ does it and they're still functioning.

I think that ship has sailed.

That's just dumb. On Dec. 21, the sun wouldn't rise until about 9:30 AM in Baton Rouge.

This. It truly sucks when it's dark when you leave for work in the morning and it's dark again when you leave work to go back home.

I think my most depressing day of each year is "Fall Back 1 Hour" day. I know I'm looking down the barrel of no sunlight for me except on the weekends.

Not if you like the dark.
