People enjoy being told what to do by their government.
That is the point of having a government. Would you prefer not having one?

Hawaii also does not observe DST. Navajo Nation in AZ is the only part of AZ that observes DST.

I definitely would support DST, year round in Louisiana, should probably be like this in most of the states below the Mason Dixon line and if i could be wrong but I believe Arizona stays with one time year round. The whole purpose was started by the farmers and ranchers , I believe and having lived in Montana for 8 years, the northern states do need to go away from DST during the late fall and winter months due to the children having to get on the bus when its still dark outside, Definitely a safety issue and so falling back in the North where the earth is tilting away from the sun in those months is a help to the kids. But in Louisiana and most Southern states, I see no reason why we shouldn't just stick with DST.

Yes, I hate it being dark at 5:30pm.
A few years ago someone kept ringing my doorbell while my wife and I were sleeping. I woke up and said "who the frick is ringing the bell in the middle of the night?"
It was 6:30 pm.

i love DST, but it being dark at 8am in the winter is not a good option. Leave it as it is currently.

It won't work because during some harvests that are grown outside of DST, the extra hour of daylight is burning the crops.
Oh my sweet summer child. You do realize that DST doesn't create or destroy light, correct?

I think my most depressing day of each year is "Fall Back 1 Hour" day. I know I'm looking down the barrel of no sunlight for me except on the weekends.
What is depressing about an extra hour or sleep?
Not that I like not being in Daylight Savings time. The extra sleep is the only good thing about it.

Yes. I hate it getting dark early in the winter. You could also get up at a normal hour and go hunting.
