He said he's taking a year off between HS and college to work on the midterm elections and gun control. It's gonna be great to watch him piss off every staffer in every campaign office because he thinks he should be in the spotlight 24/7

When will this kid stop trying to take rights away from people obey laws and start acknowledging the things that cause thousands of more deaths per year?
Things like alcohol, drunk driving/regular car accidents, pit bull bull attacks (more pit bull attack deaths than deaths in school shootings in 2017), murders with knives/tools/hammers, drug abuse/perscription drug overdose, abortion, cancer linked to tobaco use, heart disease linked to obesity, and suicide. I guess Hogg doesn't care about any of those lives lost. Just guns.

Get rid of this strawman. It's tiresome. The only LITERAL (and I'm using that word correctly, unlike most of you dumb count) purpose of guns is to kill things. That is the LITERAL reason they were invented. It was a tool, a very powerful tool, that is too powerful to be in the hands of many humans.
You know about the Cold War? Nuclear treaties? Those are larger scale versions of the whole gun thing. A weapon invented with the sole purpose of killing things that is so powerful even the two most big dicked countries at the time decided not using them would be for the greater good.

Yeah, we should concentrate the possession of such a powerful tool into a very small group because they would never abuse said power. Humans don't do that kind of thing.

Ok, you're wrong there already. Shooting is a world wide and very well known sport. I'm sure there are plenty of people who shoot in the olympics and other organized competitions who have never killed anything with a gun.
I will admit that guns were originally invented to kill things.
The rest of your statement still doesn't explain why David Hogg only cares about lives lost to guns when the numbers of murder by guns are very small compared to the other things I listed. Things that could possibly be changed.
