Then why should they be immune to the same criticism?

Because he is a high school teenager.....

I judge them differently than I do a 40 year adult. And I have not given him a free pass either. I simply judge his maturity less than I do an adults

but that kid has proven to be an a-hole.

There are alot of 17 year old assholes in high school

For an adult to attack them personally on the internet and post some of the things I have seen is an embarrassment. That is just fact

I completely agree with you.

Like most people, I was taught to respect adults. At 17, I didn't consider myself an adult and when I did stupid shite, I couldn't image having a bunch of adults start acting the way my peers act. At that point, it would be kinda hard to have respect for all of these adults. But that's the impact social media has on our society now.

Irrelevant?

My two year old threw a temper tantrum today and threw something at me. Should I say that is irrelevant and judge him no differently and expect the same from an adult?

If he demands that he be taken as seriously as an adult and demands that his opinion be valued as an adult, he should expect to be treated as such. He doesn't get to pick and choose how his message is received.

So six months magically makes him worthy of being judged differently?

Are you comparing a 2 year old to a 17/18 year old?

I find it fascinating you and others are still defending the actions of some of these adults. It would be a great psych case study

If you say that your intention is to take away the constitutional rights of Americans, you better be prepared to take the fallout.

Ahh, I see you noticed that. If he can compare a 17 year old and their emotions/ responses to an adults, I wouldn't imagine they seperate a 2 year old to a 17 year old

I don't condone going after the kid by trying to ruin him. Like I said, if you're stepping up to the plate and making it your life's work to take away people's rights, you better pit on your big boy pants. This isn't a hard concept unless your just being willfully obtuse.

I see you’re still at it.

I have a question, he’s 17 right? He’s taken a stand publicly, right?
He’s made his opinion known right?

He’s subject to as much praise and/or criticism as anyone else no matter how harsh it may be

If he can’t take it then shut the frick up. People have a right to say whatever they want about someone as much as he does.

No

I would also jude a 19 year old and 34 year old differently

I find this thought process remarkable

If a 15 year old said " I support Donald trump". You are ok with a 40 year old calling them a piece of shite?

The “he is only a teenager” argument will lead us down a bad road. Adults on both sides will groom kids to speak out on their own interests and give them platforms to say whatever they want “because they are kids and you shouldn’t attack a kid”.

There comes a time when you can’t let a kid drive a national argument for millions of people because he is “protected”.

Anyway I think he is 18 now. So fair game.

The fact that you made this complete false equivalence tells me all I need to know. You should feel bad.

It's exactly why the left and the media flocked to this kid instantly. He's the perfect crybully.

If a 17 years, 364 days year old said "gun owners are baby killers", you are ok with them being protected because they're "just a teenager"?
