The right and team republican is embarrassing for attacking a teenage high school student for his opinions. If you dont like his opinions, argue against that civilly. To completely tear down a kid personally is embarrassing. No other way to put that

If he was throwing out some reasoned arguments, then fine. Saying that people who own "assault rifles" or don't agree with gun control are baby killers is a surefire way to have people return the rhetoric. He wants to be treated like an adult, so this is what that entails.

Look, the fact you cant just admit it is wrong for adults to post personal, often vicious attacks on a 17 year old high schoolers social media accounts is proof how fricked up politics has become

Once again, the communication process broken down.
If a 17 year old is out there trying to advocate for something they believe in and they're doing it in a civil manner, then attacking them personally isn't a good idea.
If a 17 year old is demanding that he be heard as an adult while hurling preemptive ad hom attacks on people who's only prerequisite of being targeted is owning a constitutionally protected item, then he's just gonna have to deal with the the situation he purposely threw himself into.
Ben Shapiro was a syndicated columnist at this kid's age and caught just as much shite as this kid. The only difference is that Shapiro accepted it as part of the territory and didn't go hiding behind his mother's dress.
