quote:
A new amendment repealing the amendment in question. It must be done exactly the same way, because the repeal itself is an amendment. An amendment to the Constitution legally becomes PART of the Constitution, and is therefore part of our national law, indivisible from it except by the Constitutional provision for changing the Constitution. It cannot be minimized; to be removed, it must be repealed by a new amendment.
To begin, a proposed amendment must be voted approved by a 2/3 majority of both legislative bodies of the US Congress. The Proposed Amendment must then be sent ot every individual State's legislature for consideration. Each state follows its own parliamentary process to arrive at a yea or nay on the Proposed Amendment. For the Proposed Amendment to become a Constitutional Amendment, 3/4 of the individual American States must vote a final yea. With the current body of States numbering 50, the required number of State ratifications to adopt the new amendment is 38. Upon the confirmation of the 38th yea, the Amendment becomes part of the Constitution, amending, or changing, whatever the subject of the amendment covers--whether it be a new cause, or eliminating an old Amendment. Incidentally, this is why this is why there never going to be a repeal of the 2nd amendment--there will never be 38 States voting to take our guns.
Sorry for the wall of text, but this is the process it would take to repeal and replace an amendment. Not to say that I disagree with you about there being a conversation behind closed doors about taking guns away from law abiding citizens, as history has previously demonstarated. It's just highly inconceivable all those requisites are met.

I get what you're saying, but history has proven that a repeal of the 2nd is not necessary to ban firearms.
Again, I reference the 1934, 1968, and 1986 legislation. I could also reference the 1994 legislation, but that was repealed so I feel it doesn't really count.

Now answer my question please.

he is on video saying that when he heard about the shooting, he rode his bike to the school because he was worried

Hogg was at the school. Which is why I responded to Jones when he said he wasn't at the school
Jones was running with a psycho right fantasy story
He was hiding in a closet/room at the school in a different building during the shooting

Ah. So he was near the shooting, but not involved in it.
So, true story. There was a shooting two blocks from my house last night.
Do I now have the moral authority to go on national television and demand gun control?

It is just proof people play "teams" with politics these days instead of using their brains
I am a registered republican and have voted republican on 99.9% of the ballots I ever voted for. But that doesn't mean I have to lie and backup false info for the sake of "my team"

All I have said is it is embarrassing for adults to attack a high school teenager on his social media personally, and that Hogg was at the school during the shooting...
Both of those should be accepted facts/norms by any rational adult
I have never once said Hogg has moral authority or I agree with him in the least

Unless he lied in the video I saw, he rode his bike to the school when he heard about the shooting.
Who cares? The kid is a terd

So the kid witnessed a mass shooting but had to get video of the school because he believed there was no way there could have been a mass shooting at the school.
The kids story is all over the place
And you've become quite the dickhead on here. What gives?

I'm not.
Let's take it one step further. Should I be immune to criticism if I go on national television and use blatant hyperbole to push my narrative?
If not, then what makes me different from Hogg?

One should not be immune from criticism nor an opposite viewpoint
But if you feel it isn't innapropriate to post on a high schoolers social Media as an adult that you think he is a "piece of shite" "mother fricker" or a "pussy" than you are a very trashy person that I think have let politics ruin you

Do you think it's also inappropriate to call someone a "baby killer" and that they have "blood on their hands" if they simply own a gun?
