South Irving near the horse track. I'm partial to Dallas, but I'm a TCU grad... and I can tell you there's plenty of awesome in Ft Worth... just avoid Cowtown unless you're going to eat. Football season approaching...

Sweet! I lived here for a year in 2011, and I can say downtown has changed quite a bit and there's a commuter lane and all...
But a lot of the neat things are still here. Can't wait for football!

I would assume so, every chick in college already seems to have baggage or picks it up then.

Man, HS chicks have baggage.

Everyone has baggage of some type. If you're over 30, you have some type of physical/emotional baggage.

Yes the problem is no one, particularly women, seem to accept that

But are you going on dates?
When I want to I can, I just don't want to be in anything tying me down or pulling my focus. Going to be recording and finish writing this EP I started on, then work on a LP and depending on what's going on, depending who is on tour, may travel some.
Been painting abstract album art that I finished yesterday.

Just saying that tduecen was talking about dates, not relationships.
So it's a little different because you're meeting many new people and most may seem to be in the same stuck state.

I've never met a woman who actually lives in Ft. Worth.
ETA: I've been on a recent run with the Kendra Scott girls in Dallas. Just go in there and tell them your buying for your mom and it's like taking candy from an infant. I'm also only 25 though so it's not as creepy as 35 year old walking in there.

Used to have a place downtown. Money was better in Dallas while I was in advertising so I kept heading East. When I moved out by the track was the first step West I'd taken in 15 years.

I've got 3 years until I hit 30. I think the divorcees have some baggage, but overall people are just more aware of their faults.

I'm 30 and I date. I have no baggage which I consider debt, kids, divorced, serious criminal history, etc.
The 25+ age range is what I like.
The just out of college girls are too immature.
The one thing that hurts me is my lack on time. Working and going to law school leaves little time, but the women are instantly attracted to me.
Its like shooting fish in a barrel for me, so I can be as picky as I want. I'm thankful.

I'm 31. The chicks I date don't have baggage, but recently they have ranged from 24 to 30. The 30 year old was by far the coolest. Pretty much me as a girl. We got to where we were along basically the same paths after high school (I was a bad kid and she wasn't)

I'd say as an older guy than most, you always have to be picky. I've done very well in my life look wise. My advice from my perspective is imagine an ideal person and stick to your guns. You still may make a mistake, so when you recognize this, get out as soon as you can. I'm speaking of relationships here only.
If you are just looking to get lucky, go for the hottest women despite any baggage unless you are in danger because of this. When it becomes "weird" get out and start the process all over.
Random thoughts from an older guy.

Dated 6 years in my thirties got divorced at 34. I found dating fun and just keep your expectations low when going out. If you hit it off with someone then go out on a second date and see what happens. I ran into some crazy ladies and some that I was on the fence about. Great thing is after my divorce I was very up front with women. I already had kids and did not want anymore. Most dating sites have descriptions of what you are looking for in a man or woman. Find a few you like and go out with them. Don't feel obligations to put on a act if don't like them. Remember most in their 30's know what they are looking for cut the bullshite. You will know when Mr. or Mrs. Right comes along. Might take a few dates. It took me 6 years to find someone I am happy with so good luck.

If she has a child or children make sure that the dad is a deadbeat. You don't have time to have to kick her ex's arse every other week, or listen to a kid praise his meth smoking father.
