I'd expect to pay for the first few dates for sure. If we were dating for awhile I'd expect her to offer to pay for some things.

It doesn't even have to be really expensive places. Actually...it's better if it isn't.
I can remember first dates at expensive restaurants....it made me feel really awkward. Like I felt like my date had expectations of something happening after the date because he had spent so much money. It just didn't make for comfortable first dates.
