There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.
The unlicensed pharmacist selling drugs on the street says “First taste is free”. I believe the same may be coming where the internet isn’t free.
Where is the payback for the instant billions invested?

I'm already paying 20k a month for AI credits and I expect that to increase as we move more work over to AI.

Gave up alcohol & tobacco 30 yrs ago. Do you dispute my claim?
Google & meta aren’t known for failure to receive a return on investment.
We don’t build new bridges without tolls, used to be free
Tollways are the new highways that used to be free.
I now pay to flush my toilet, it used to be free.
Thank you for a asking, day drinking could be habit forming

Yeah ChatGPT and the like are basically free now. They are gonna wait until they get their hooks deep into society and then start dialing up the subscription costs.
Bet.
Bet.

None of this was ever, ever, ever free. It's called taxes, dolt. Even if your broke trailer dwelling arse didn't pay much in taxes, someone else did.

Sir, I founded and actively managed a company for 40 yrs. A very profitable company, I am aware of what my taxes pay.
Now that I pay for those roads bridges & sewer, do I still have to pay taxes? As dumb a question as your response.
It’s not necessary to call me names,it detracts from the subject matter and may be revealing about the poster.

We just thought streaming video subscriptions were annoying. AI subscriptions are gonna be fugly once we get reliant on them.

Yep that's happening now. They coming out with new features that makes the upgraded $300 a month plan seem worth it instead of DIYing piecing together a bunch of different tools.
3-years from now it'll be $500 a month for AI and $1000 a month for the lease payment on our Home robot.
