If everyone had that attitude the issue at hand would grow exponentially.
Only if cops were universally power hungry and crooked. That's not reality though.

To the people defending the cop in any way, or saying that we all just need to OBEY the police no matter how unlawful and unconstitutional their orders are please GO frick YOURSELVES. It's people like you that give these rogue arse cops the ammunition they need to trample our civil rights and get away with shite like this. Yes, I know he was caught, but had he not been filmed doing this he would have gotten away with it and many many cops get away with shite like this every single day. This guy just happened to be smart enough to film it. This is why cops fight so hard against wearing cameras and/or people filming them. It's because they know they are breaking the law and trampling civil rights every damn day and if there were filmed they would go to fricking jail just like this a-hole. Sorry but people have basic rights and frick NO I'm not going to blindly follow every unlawful and unconstitutional order that a rogue arse cop barks at me. frick you to anyone who says otherwise.
Thank you, I can stop reading now. What you said is what I wantwd to. Thank goodness we're not all blind sheep.

I can read fine. I see one sarcastic comment from Sabi and the Tennessee guy asking 4 questions.

Read the thread before throwing out stupid questions to people who are saying nothing related to what you are asking.....
And cops need a warrant to pull someone over? Tell me more!

I didn't hear the kid say anything about the window being broken or unable to completely roll the window down.

I read the article. Do agree with the officers actions? No!
All I suggested was to make sure your window is down and hands in plain sight for when any law enforcement pulls you over. And had the kid complied maybe what took place wouldn't have.

So not rolling your window all the way down is worthy of a tazing?
No, but why in the hell would someone not comply with the request? That's just being stupid imo.
And yes, the officer went way overboard with his actions. No denying that at all. However if only the kid would have complied, maybe what happened, never happens.

I'm just saying show some common sense. If you don't want to comply, accept the consequences.

Let me hep you out; blaming the kid, is defending the cop. It is literally the cops defense, to blame the kid for his behavior in the situation. I'm not calling anyone out, but it might help to ctrl+F --> "Auburn Fan"
Do you really think that a thread goes 15 pages without disagreement?
Edit: I'm not going back and forth with you, so here is a quote

We were talking about defending the cop right? That is explicitly blaming the kid's behavior right there. Not sure how much more clear it needs to be made for you.

The cop obviously didn't attend his "white privilege" training either.

I suppose it's too hard for some cops to explain why someone is getting pulled over, what law the driver broke, and why they have to get out of the car.
Cop: "I pulled you over because there is a warrant attached to this vehicle. License and proof of insurance please. Keep your hands on the steering wheel until I finish running your information."
Comes back:
Cop: "It appears the warrant isn't for you, but I do smell marijuana. Can I search your vehicle?"
Kid: "No"
Cop; "Ok, hang tight, I'll call in a K9."
But alas, there is this portion of police officers that get their rocks off terrorizing people and inflicting their will.

The kid's actions are part of the situation, that's just a fact.
It could have been handled differently by both parties. The cop shoulders 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the blame here, but that doesn't mean that the kid didn't do something that got this situation to where it was. If you think that's giving the cop a pass, I'm not sure what to tell you.

asking someone to roll their window down is a breach of civil rights?
i get it, i know the kid has a right to say no, and what the LEO did was shitty and hes going to jail and thats a good thing.
all im saying is, if the kid rolls his window down he doesnt get tazed.

You forgot the very next line where he blames the cop, so let me help you out.

Why? There was no probable cause for him to comply with anything. That cop should be blood eagled.

Seriously? I mean seriously, he should just "accept the consequences"? So you are saying that if a cop asks you to do something, you do it without asking why, 100% of the time, and if you don't expect for your life to be physically threatened?
That is what happened here buddy.
And it appeared that the passenger window was not functioning, because if you watch the video the kid rolls down the driver window as the cop walks around. I just don't see that as a lack of compliance in the first place.

I did want to mention - always get out of the fricking car, even if you're not under arrest. Cops can ask you to step out regardless. But when you do (assuming you're not under arrest), roll your windows up and lock the doors behind you - then put the keys in your pocket.
