I went to too many for my sister. I’m praying Mrs. STLDawg has only boys.

I will sit outside instead of ever going into a dance recital ever again. Three sisters in ballet. It was horrible. “Oh just sit in the seat for another 4 hour practice and quit complaining. Yeah mom, uhhh this is just the 18th one in a row.

I plan on bringing bourbon to my daughters first recital and getting visibly intoxicated. Then I’ll tell her she didn’t practice enough regardless of how well she does.

If your kid is really good, she gets asked to join the competition team, which is like travel ball but with the added expense of costumes, hair, makeup, etc.

Loser.
Recitals are what sucks, at least for a guy. Maybe you’re the mom.

In that case, i understand.

I love watching my daughter dance. It's the 2.5 hours of the recital that she isn't on stage that makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

To be "Fair" I had to miss my son's football spring game to attend my daughter's spring orchestra concert.

He caught 2 passes for 30+ yards and made 5 tackles.

She had a 30 second solo.

Yall are doing it wrong. Join the stage crew I pull the curtains for the whole thing and have a steady flow of Makers Mark or beer brought to me in Sonic cups so the other moms back there dont bitch. The owners husband doesnt mind buying they enjoy the free labor. On top of that I get to watch my daughter dance and oh yeah that competition dancing aint cheap.

Yes, yes it is........

But I still enjoy those 5 or 6 times she dances out of the 30 hours of other dances......

Don't forget that LSU might not be in the regional this year which always seems to be the excuse to skip these...
