Have any of you baws put your son in dance classes to assist with sports coordination. My son is 8. Decent athlete, but still has no great control over his body. Thinking about taking him out off of sports for a year and putting him into dance so he can learn coordination and footwork. Could help him immensely. Have any of you had any luck with this?

He’s 8. Let him grow into his body. Once that happens, he’ll be more coordinated.

No. Read that dance classes are a good form of cross training for sports. Lots of athletes have done it. Just seeing if anyone here has had success doing it for their kids.

Golf helped my son tremendously with hand eye coordination.

I haven’t had much success with the agility ladder. Kid is uncoordinated.

He’s interested in Golf. Bought a driver for him a while back and went out a few times

It worked for Vasily Lomachenko. His dad enrolled him in dance lessons as a kid to help with his boxing footwork...and one could argue Lomachenko is top 5 greatest footwork boxers of all time. Nicknamed Hi Tech or The Matrix.

Tried that a while back. He thought it would be a good idea to punch the instructor in the nuts. Haven’t been back since.

He’s 8. Let him grow into his body and let his mind expand then decide if he wants to get the whole sex change operation....
