It simply is so shitty of them to hold a dying woman hostage over a few pesos for payment of the care that killed her. THAT is what pisses me off.
To be fair, it's not like they can bankrupt her after she leaves.

Also, while trying to get her home, 3 American hospitals refused to take her as she did not have insurance.
Does that piss you off or just not rise to the level of condemning it?

Never go to a 3rd world country for surgery.

Mexico and the clinic refused to let her family take her back to America until they paid her medical bills.
This is SOP there. They will literally hold a patient hostage, no matter the circumstances, until the check clears.

frick you Mexico. I hope the USA installs a huge catapult so we can give your illegals citizens here a swift trip back home over our wall instead of coddling them as we do.

Sounds like a Darwin Award nominee. We need more to go down there and clean out the gene pool.

Is it really Mexico's fault? shite like this goes on in this country.

People need to learn "if it is too good to be true, then it probably is". People go to these places because it is much cheaper. There is a reason it is much cheaper.
Anyone who thinks its a good idea to have a medical procedure done at some shite hole in Mexico or at some place that's in the middle of a shopping center has no one else to blame than themselves.
I am sure there are people who want to get something done so bad and just don't have the money so when they hear or find out about how they can get it done, at a price they can actually afford, their excitement or willingness to do it clouds their better judgement.

I can tell you from experience that this shite is not confined to plastic surgery clinics in Mexico. Actual hospitals treat children this way also, i.e. hold an extremely sick child hostage until payment clears.

Don't plastic surgery places have payment plans?

so she didn't have money for insurance, but had money for plastic surgery? sad story all around. hopefully others will learn to better prioritize from this terrible situation.
she was a beautiful woman, it's unfortunate that she felt the need to alter her face to begin with.

Lot of posters here acting like botched surgeries don't happen in America, would be interesting to see comparative morbidity stats on common procedures.
