I can assure you that we do not want a race war. We just want to feel safe and all of our possessions to stay where they belong

self defense should not be intended for people to freely pick fights then resort to the easy way out of the fight by the way of the gun. that's pussy shite. certain situations are avoidable from your own actions alone.

i am all for defending yourself by any means necessary from a bad guy. i am not about standing behind an a-hole aggressor who is the actual violent one with a history of violence.. who picks a fight with innocent people (time and time again) and knows he can rely on his gun to carry him. seriously frick that guy.

i can't stand the blm movement.. every case is unique though. the michael brown case.. now that guy asked for it.. that guy was an aggressor.. that was a justified means of action.

wish people would stop lumping everything in together, because of the stupid blm movement.. and making it a black and white issue.. and start actually having an objective mind for each individual incident. i will always believe zimmerman got away with murder. he reminds me so much of joran van der sloot.. same type of personality. who also had a daddy judge to protect him.. who also initially got away with murder and boasted about it and showed no emotion whatsoever.. finally joran van der sloot's arrogance and terrible ways caught up to him when he murdered another.. i look forward to the day zimmerman picks on the wrong person because of his arrogance.

That can be said from the other side of the table as well. Look dude, I was up til after 1 am watching the live feed. There were numerous people dancing in a 7-11 parking lot, taunting the police, etc before AND after the shooting. Just own it. You don't have to speak for he black community. You're allowed to disagree with people of your own race. Not doing so comes across as disengenuous, and you're not helping your cause, at all. Quite the opposite.

I agree that it's a small group advocating this, but they are willingly speaking on it on social media for the world to see. That's completely fricked.

Yeah it is fricking despicable, but to take those comments and parlay them into the voice for the "black community" is ridiculous and we shouldn't do it. You know who is sick about this kind of thing? Black people I know in real life, not on Twitter.

I promise you there will not be any protests today in Big D. The only thing worse than a bunch of pissed off white people is a bunch of pissed off Texans.

Everybody making those comments publicly has hundreds of friends and family members who we can mostly assume are not doing anything to shut them up or disagree with them.

He didn't say it was BLM-inspired, although he could have misspoke.

I'll admit what the chief said is open to interpretation, but he did not come out and clearly exclude the suspect from BLM

I agree. But when I see "an eye for an eye" with the pig emoji retweeted by thousands of people, it's gonna make people take notice.

The Police Chief said the suspect stated he was upset about the Black Lives Matter movement. Just watched the video.

Not entirely but not excluding them. they interviewed protesters last night that even said themselves that it was mostly peaceful but some were taunting police. I just fail to see the logic on how that will fix issues, whatever they may be

Additionally, I don't really understand why people on this board assume that when a person dislikes the way others express their constitutional right, people get all butt hurt and start screaming about its their right and get defensive. Just as they have the right to say they hate police I have the right to say I hate the way they behave. I'm not going out and trying to stop their speech. I'm not saying we should change the constitution or censor people that protest.

The point is that neither speak for an entire race at large. To dislike black people because of BLM would be akin to disliking white people for the KKK.

I agree. I think it is open to interpretation and the video was not clear enough to legitamitely say the cops were at fault. He was armed, threatening people, and resisting. Unfortunate situation that happened quickly. I'm sure the cops involved would handle it differently if given another opportunity.
