Boiled some shrimp earlier and didn’t have to use propane. Just put the pot in the sunny area.

Usually when it gets this hot we get showers to cool things off.. it's pretty unusual that we sit at a heat index of 112ish for nearly a week with zero rain.

I checked the fig tree, but the birds beat me to them today and ruined a good 30 nice figs. I need to get out early in the a.m. to beat them to the punch and pick them about a day or 2 short of tree ripe.
And yeah, it's hot as hell.

When I hit the shop this morning it was 104 degrees inside.
Opened the doors and cut the fans on and it got it down to a cool 100 while I fixed the mower.
I'm now beat red and in the bathtub with 6 bags of ice.
Air is on 61. Coming up on minute 22.
Honestly... Still kind of hot.

I passed a house getting a new roof done. I literally cannot fathom having to do that job in this weather.

It amazes me that guys can suck down big gulps and eat circle K hot dogs for lunch and go out and do jobs like this. It doesn’t even seem to phase them either.
