That could have been really bad.
Good on him.

I spot my little guy on slides.
Wife gives a push, I spot.

Surprised there weren’t 6 kids at the bottom trying to climb their way up instead of down.

Playgrounds suck now

Hell of a catch. He was down before he crossed the goal line, though.

I supposedly launched off the old double slide with two humps at City Park in BR (across Dalrymple from golf course on the hill) when I was 4/5. Mom said I landed on my neck. Went to ER and said ur wasn’t broke. (This was 1978 or 79)

Fast forward to now and I have a fused. Vertebra between T4/T5 with no confirmed reason why…..

Dad was off shore so wasn’t there to make the catch

That's why kids are soft nowadays. Knots add character. Kid will be playing Roblox and have nose piercings in a few years at this rate.

Ok, so when your kid is that age you set them on the slide where you can reach. This isn't rocket appliances.

T4 and 5 is between your shoulder blades, probably unrelated to the slide mishap.

Right as the camera turns away you can see Mom start to freak out. Dad probably got some that night.

There's nothing to indicate that was the father of the child. Probably was a random dad at the park who reacted since he ran to the slide and wasn't already there spotting. Kid's dad was probably the one filming. Makes it even better that he acted and saved a child that wasn't his.

Years ago I yanked a neighbor's kid out of the street three feet from getting hit by a car

The people on the wrong side of the vehicle were mad at me his mother was the only one that saw what happened

That's a pretty tall slide to have on what looks to be pavement!
