THIS. It doesn’t matter that ‘he paid’ because that doesn’t excuse being a scumbag. This wasn’t a spur of the moment, loss of self control. It was PLANNED REVENGE.
Given the donation to a domestic abuse shelter, I think there is a very good chance this guy was an abusive POS. These kids have every right to refuse contact with him if this is his behavior and choices.
If you truly are a good parent, you take the fricking high road and grow the frick up. You work hard to be a role model for kids and THAT proves who you are regardless of what others may claim. Acting like a bratty kid with the SOLE PURPOSE OF CAUSING DISTRESS VIA THEATRICS is BS.

He came to my office on the day the kid turned 18 to make sure no more payments were made. He was bittersweet ....payments were over but he never met his kid.
Who is at fault here?
