Help me understand. I looked at Georgia’s child support calculator.
Parent 1 makes 7,000 a month
Parent 2 makes 6,500 a month
Two kids spend 50% of time at each house.
Parent 1 must pay parent 2 $1,100 dollars a month.
Which means parent 2 now makes more than parent 1.
I’m not planning on divorce but this doesn’t seem correct.

I'd be willing to bet that it's over more than $800...both, financially and emotionally.
Maybe the guy is a dick and never wanted a relationship with his daughter. But it seems more likely that the mom poisoned the mind of both kids, when it came to dad.

At the time of my divorce I negotiated to receive all of the tax breaks and in exchange I agreed to provide all of the kids health, school costs (public) and dental. The payments counted in the courts calculation of CS so I ended up with a very low CS payment. I essentially avoided paying my ex very much money by proving I was covering most expenses which was fine by me bc I knew the $$$ was going to the children. We had 50/50 and I kept every receipt of every child's expense.
Ex was mad as hell when the COVID stimulus packages came out and she only received credit for herself.

It’s enough to make a man want to dump a load of pennies on someone’s lawn, isn’t it?
