It pisses me off to no end when a cyclist chooses to ride the road and disrupt the flow of traffic rather than bike the sidewalk if there is one present.

Illegal. And I bitch at the cyclists when I'm a pedestrian. They do not belong on a sidewalk...especially when it is a road that has a bike lane.

I got hit by professor on LSU campus my freshman year. Pretty good lick, my upper back crushed his windshield, he yelled and then drove off. Cops said it was my word against his.

I took this bastard's classes every time I could fit them in my schedule for years. I would stare his little five and a half foot arse down for the entire semester and go to office hours every week.

He apologized my senior year and asked me to please stop taking his classes.

I count it as a win.

That's a great piece of fiction. Hopefully you turned it in for a grade.

The little jewish guy did actually teach creative writing. And I did write an account of the story for an assignment.

I hope the cyclist is ok. I have a feeling that she's not the typical douche bag that rides bikes. I got into an altercation with 2 of them on 16 near pine grove a while back. They were riding in the lane when they had a paved shoulder. fricking douche nozzles.

The stop sign thing is overplayed. I'll admit that's the one law I break. Now by nreaking, I mean I slow down as much as possible without having to put a foot down (unless I have to yield then I'll fully stop). You know how many cars roll slowly through a stop sign without ever fully stopping.....pretty much all of them. And their roll is undoubtedly faster than mine.

Just because you roll through stop signs in your car and bicycle doesn't mean everyone does. Its a great habit and keeps everyone safe from human error or missing something. And why do you talk like its some sort of physical struggle to stop. Stop at stop signs.

Trust me, most people do not come to a complete stop in cars. I as a cyclists spend twice as much time in the 10 foot distance before a stop sign than a car does. Watch people. You will see its quite the norm for cars. And as far as an incinvenience, it is pretty big for a cyclist. You have to unclip. Nothing worth being unsafe over, but I am not being unsafe.

If a paved shoulder is big enough and there are no obstruction, then I ride it. But often, a shoulder is just big enough to ride, but cars then think they don't have to move over at all. In that case, you don't give you 3' and you have jackasses flying by wayyyy too close for comfort. Cyclists often talk about establishing your presence in the lane. Don't give them the opportunity to think they can squeeze by you. There's either enough space for you to feel comfortable, or the car can wait until oncoming traffic allows them to pass using the other lane. Cyclists have a right to the lane as much as you.

Amazing the hatred for cyclists. Sure most don't go the speed limit, even in a neighborhood, but its not so bad, that anger needs to come out.
Try being on the other side of the situation and be jogging or biking. I will jog on the side of the road, and Ill be damned if it isn't every other car flying by me at more than the speed limit and no care even to do the courtesy of just slightly moving over so their side view mirrors broadside me, even when there are no other vehicles on the road.

Was she a pedestrian or a bicyclist? If she got off her bike and was walking across the cross walk then I don't see anything wrong with that.

The hate for bicyclists is way too great here. Lots of big fatass people in here I'm guessing.

I don't hate cyclists but I have no patience or empathy for stupidity. You figure it out mister King of play in the street.

Obviously did not end up being that way. As a driver of a motor vehicle I have 0 responsibility for your ill-advised decisions. It is 100% on you to be safe in an UNSAFE situation.

I am not a bike fan by any means but I wish our Govt. would invest some bike lanes into our infrastructure nationwide. It seems to work quite well up here in Colorado.

Nothing pisses me off more than some jackass biker who thinks he owns the road. Hope this person is ok but can't say they didn't have jr coming.
