A new TD shirt giveaway should be started for the poster who comes up with the best fake name to give when entering a business.

Yeah I wouldn’t go to any business that enforced that policy.

Don't worry, businesses that enforce the policy won't have any business to go to.

It is like they are equating drastic measures to drastic effectiveness, and that is not the case.

Contact tracing is not appropriate of affective on a respiratory virus with up to a 14 day incubation period. Especially one with such a low death rate.

Contact tracing is only appropriate for fast acting, deadly diseases.

Yep. That's all we heard for a month. Now that it's flat we keep moving the goalposts.

Put your phone in a faraday cage bag. No signals (GPS, bluetooth, wifi, etc.) can get in or out such a bag.

That would seem to defeat the purpose of the phone.

I don’t want to go off the grid. I want big tech to stop being shitheads. Unfortunately, the government is complicit in their douchebaggery.

From a scientific sense this would only make sense for sit down restaurants, stadiums, and airplanes. And, in those environments it’s not all that intrusive. If Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Rouses haven’t caused an mass outbreak yet it’s clear that people pinballing around a business with brief moments of contact isn’t a cause for a concern. It looks like either being the direct recipient of a cough/sneeze or extended asymptomatic closeness that’s the major concern.

I can see value, without an overbearing amount of workload, in being able to say: “hey, swing by and get a test if you plan on seeing grandma soon, the guy at an close table when you were at Chili’s for 3 hours pounding margaritas last week has popped positive”

You really want to give up that info? While we are operating on the greater good rule let me point out that you just had 3 hours of margaritas. I think the restaurant should automatically notify the police so they can be waiting when you get in your car to arrest you before you drive off.

Take one look at her. Are you surprised?

Besides that if you have a cellphone this is already being done.
