ETA: this was the most recent Rekeita Law trial watch of the... well... I guess last 2 weeks

Nick Rekeita admitted several times that he went into the trial thinking Reeves was guilty... but as the prosecution case ended and the defense started to present its case that his mind was flipped to not guilty

the defense being able to show on the surveillance video where Oulson threw the cell phone and then continued to attack Reeves really brought it home that Oulson was the physical aggressor and Reeves was justified

and Rekeita and Branca HATED the defense's presentation too... like the defense's opening & closing statements were TERRIBLE... and yet the evidence was on their side and they got Reeves freed

Not to be disrespectful to someone who is dead, but Oulson kind of looks like a douche. I don't know too much about this case, but when it happened and there was a report on it I remember seeing the pictures of the two and thinking "the guy who did the shooting was an older man (as in someone you should show respect to no matter what.. older). The one who got shot must have been a complete a-hole".

I didn't know oulson personally but this hits very close to home. He worked at the local Yamaha/Suzuki shop near my house as the "financing guy". This dude was taking his wife out for a date and happened to text his babysitter before the movie started. Reeves, started shite like an old and entitled dickhead cop. Oulson simply stood up for himself against a dick complaining about using his phone prior to the movie starting. They squared up and Oulson was murdered in cold blood. The local court system delayed this for about 8 years. When it first happened, public opinion was majority that way. Chad's wife was shot in the finger pushing the gun away, but what's that matter.

Agree, somewhat. This was a case that you would heard of possibly but you didn't. I think that's what he's saying. I just watched local cringe and the corrupt system let this happen.
