Just went to a crawfish boil at a Birmingham brewery, $50 for 5 pounds with 2 small potatoes and one eat of corn. KY jelly was extra. ??

I like boiled crawfish, but the prices people pay for it at this point are downright comical to me. I'm trying to imagine how big a pile of boiled shrimp $50 would buy me

Same thing here in Texas. Breweries and restaurants charge $10-$14 per pound for crawfish boiled in plain water and sprinkled with Old Bay.

so thats roughly $15 a pound for boiled crawfish with sides making up the other $5 cost
if people stop paying it, they wont charge that much, the problem is the idiots who pay
