Interesting crowd
I have noticed more color on the panhandle in recent years. What has spurred that on? It's more expensive than ever. Overall, demographics haven't changed that much.
Folks in the South take a week from their daily lives to get away from it only to find themselves next to a massive brawl on crab island.
The water was supposed to be safe!

I haven't been to Destin proper in about 20 years. This is NOT the Destin I remember.
Crab Island (never heard of it before now) has been added to the list of places I will never visit. That was disgusting to watch.

This certainly isn’t the norm.
99% of people in Destin know how to behave and are friendly with one another.
This type of Atlanta/New Orleans behavior is heavily frowned upon by the other 99% of good people who visit/live there.

I’ve been to crab island a bunch and never seen a fight out there. Unfortunate if the poster above is correct about the new condo unit.

See the pattern? Remember a long time ago when NBR and Cortana area were a respectable place to visit? Then what? The trash showed up. I remember when Crab Island was the place for "sight seeing".
