And prepare for the ever creeping Cox bill. It will continue to go up without your knowledge and permission. You can call, they adjust a few bucks, and then next thing you know, higher than before.

Unfortunately, DirectTV and Dish all suck as well. You'd think they'd invent something better than these options. You'd think competition would improve service. Nope.

The only answer is cut the chord from all of them, get HD antennae, and the streaming apps. I'm just not tech savvy enough to figure it all out.

Horrendous customer service from ISPs is pretty standard across the board.

What incentive do they have to provide you good customer service? If you switch providers to Shitcast or AT&T it's just going to be the same story, possibly worse with Shitcast.

I would have no issue with cox if it were not for the stupid boxes you are forced to use and rent monthly. That is stupid. They need to create a streaming app or something so I dont have to have boxes on every tv.

OHHH but then you lose the financial black magic known as the "bundle". I cancelled the cable portion of my cox service and they immediately raised my internet by 35 bucks. They have felt the pinch of cord cutting and are responding by punishing you for not buying shite you don't really want. My only hope is that as more fiber lines get laid there is eventually competition and the market catches up with them.

COX is feakin awful, but I actually do use services unique to cable with local news, CST for local programming (fishing shows, local sports), and run their Wifi for my smart TV apps. Its frustrating but haven't found a viable alternative without giving up a fair bit

had cox for 15 yrs....dropped them finally cause att optic fiber moved into my hood...1gig up, 1 gig down....suck it cox

oh and my bill is cheaper and i have more than i had with cox... lol

I have spoken to AT&T recently. They were nice and gave me money off my bill, which was not necessary at all. I hear in general it is not good, but, although it took time finding the right person to help us, that person did a great job.

Cox and AT&T get a bad rap; I’m obviously missing something.

I’ve had cox for six months (internet only), and I haven’t had to contact them at all. I’ve had at&t 10+ years and have only contacted them once with an upgrade question.

What exactly is happening that makes you have to contact customer service for these two companies enough that they become burdensome?
