So I work in Labor Relations for a large company. I have this coworker that is around 47 years old(I'm 30). This guy comes into my office daily, often 4-5 times a day and vents. Usually I have no issue with this and just let him talk, however sometimes he legitimately looks like he's going to hit someone or something. He gets this crazy look in his eyes and its hard not to laugh at the absurdity of it. Example:

One day our admin forgot to leave the door to the break room unlocked. He couldn't get to his coffee for the first hour of the day. He literally was beating on the door and yelling cusswords that he couldn't get his morning coffee.

He constantly complains about how people at our company arent friendlier and don't work together as much as he would like.

Anyone else have coworkers with anger issues?

Sounds like he hates his job, and the culture at the company sucks which just exacerbates simple problems for him like not getting his coffee.

A former coworker legitimately hated everyone in our office. She would call my desk multiple times a day and go on these long rants about the dubmest shite. Like so and so walked by my office and looked at me today...ugh can you believe it?!?! It was exhausting working with someone so negative. It was a good day when she finally quit.

Yeah he's had two broken engagements and I think I know the reason why now...

One of his rants was how he doesn't believe in God and hates Christmas

Which means you will be largely unprepared for the time when you do.

Very well could be. One minute he can be laughing and the next he looks murderous

Just kind of joke with him and be like "come on man... there are a lot bigger problems in the world" and see how he responds.

I see where you'd laugh at this, but obviously the guy has some hormonal imbalances and may need referred to counseling.
