I have some Dan post that are extremely comfortable. They were right at $400

Looking for another pair of boots.
Do you need better grip on the stirrups, or are you trying to look taller?

Just my .02, but I’ve worn Justin’s for work, horse sales, and horseback. They’re a really great boot that should be right in your wheelhouse price-wise. If you don’t already have a pair, try em.
Not a slight towards any other boot. But I’m really partial to them.

Do they fit true to size? Does it take much to break them in?

I have a pair of Justin’s I’m about to re sole for the third time.
Take care of the skin and a good quality boot will last for years. These are smooth ostrich (I think they call the color peanut brittle?) and are still in great shape after 25 or so years.

Yes they do, and for me they did not. I bought them and 2 weeks later wore them out in the field walking several miles up and down hills and they were great

Rios of Mercedes!
Bought a pair of ostrich boots of theirs. The neck was just too skinny, couldn’t fight to get them on any longer, had to give them away.

Nocona. . Ny second favorite. Didn’t know you could buy those anymore.
My very favorite is Acme. Pretty sure you cant buy those either.
