The 17 year old that’s probably the one smiling at the camera needs to go to big boy jail for longer than a week. The 15 year old needs to spend a little time in juvenile with Louisianas finest.

They just look so entitled to me. Especially shite-eating grin guy. The other one is just following him and scared to say no.

I don't disagree with you, but IMHO, punching a disabled teacher is the worse crime. And that thug got three or four years if I remember correctly.

The difference between us and Supersaint is that we don’t make excuses for the frick-ups in our community.

I’d be surprised if either does actual time, seeing as both white kids are from St. Tammany Parish.

I think that the DA’s office has been pretty effective. Time will tell, but I’ve seen nothing to make me think that these kids will get a pass.

being white doesn't really matter there. coming from the right family/having the right political connections does.

That’s what I was going for, I forgot not everyone reading the OT is familiar with the NorthShore.

Apparently both of these kids live in my neighborhood. Lots of fire department vehicles roaming around earlier this evening.

Terrible take. Arson that causes a few million bucks worth of damage and forces a business to close for at least a month deserves a lot more than just a week in jail.

This is a tough one. Do they have any priors? Were they dared into doing it? What was their thought process? I am sure it was just a prank gone very very wrong. Was there ever an immediate threat to anyone’s life? I think the aggravated arson punishment seems high for what they did yet it was 14 million in damages. Feel like stealing a car and speeding through traffic causing damage would be a worse crime. Pulling a gun on someone in the parking lot of a Walmart worse.
