Covington PD has roughed me up a couple of times and I'm a white guy who knows a lot of higher-ups

There's probably like 8 black people that live in Covington

It's going to last approx 1 hour, there will be no road closures and local businesses have no need for concern. Sounds like Chief Lentz is pretty confident there won't be any trouble
Only takes 1 idiot

You're right about that, but the police seem pretty confident. Tim Lentz is a good guy and a reasonable person. He's not your stereotypical hardass cop. I'm willing to guess that he's already met with the protest organizers and established the ground rules for the demonstration. I'd also guess that if things deviate from the agreed upon plan, he has a contingency plan in place that can be quickly implemented. Think helmets, shields, batons and barking dogs...

I'm hearing there's something planned for Hammond too

If they try the same thuggery that went on in other places, they won't get very far. Doesn't fly in St Tammany.

It would be epic if they tried to "protest" in Pearl River

I don't associate with those types. Even the liberals I know aren't that worthless

Not very well, protestors took an ill-advised turn onto Lee Road and ended up at Barker's Corner after sundown.

Beau Chene is the new location for the BLM protest in Mandeville. Theme is "Hands Up Walls Down"

Anyone around the old courthouse on Boston St.? I think the demonstration was scheduled for 7:00pm. Wondering what the size of the crowd looks like.
