According to this this post, flu cases are down 97% worldwide since CoVid came on the scene. This is great news, if true, as everyone was worried about not only a second wave of CV in the winter, but also a combination of Health care workers having to fight both CV and the flu at the same time.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see what the scientist say is the cause of this development.

Are flu cases being counted as CV?

Are the CV mitigation actions (social distancing, masks, hand washing etc) mitigating the flu?.

Did the CV virus “push out” the flu this year?

Did Trump defeat the flu?

Has anyone seen any other logical explanations for this development?

And why is this not being discussed on the news?

I would think that all of the precautions and social distancing going on right now for covid is having a massive positive impact on the spread of the flu.

Maybe Covid is the flu, and we are all part of a massive societal experiment?

It's still early and there must be a combination of factors. It seems most likely that this one is having a significant impact. People may also be quarantining and not going to the doctor.

No

This is most likely why we’ve seen the insane drop in flu cases, the masks probably having the largest role.

No, but we’ve seen plenty of cases of people getting both simultaneously.

Lol yeah ok. Mask don't prevent the flu. If it did then they would have been using for years. It's probably that most of the covid cases are really the flu.

So social distancing and precautions work for the flu but not covid?

That's an interesting thought. Kind of sounds like all those restrictions and lockdown were incredibly worthless and more damaging than anything in the context of Covid.

People distancing, washing hands, washing surfaces and wearing masks will cut down on the spread of the flu and colds

People complain that masks don’t prevent covid but they sure do prevent the flu and colds. I will wear mine during cold and flu season every year now.
I think it’s cool

A lot of the covid deaths are people that would have died from the flu. This alone will make flu numbers “look better” and give the idiot mask people fuel to try and make they always mandatory

But we're talking about flu cases being down by 97%, not flu deaths.

They are not. Flu has been tracked separately for several years by local and state public health departments and this data goes up to CDC. Considering you can run tests for the flu on the same sample collected for COVID....it’s very easy to separate the data.

The flu would have killed some of those that died from covid, but not as large of a number as you are trying to imply.

Whenever someone claims that masks help prevent the flu, I ask them to provide me with one medical paper that proves that and they never do.

But the payout is different

It’s easier to file under “suspicion” using the CDC’s own guidelines and get “dat money” and it’s completely legal

Can you be asymptotic for CIVID and have symptoms for the Flu and be positive for both at the same time?

How would you know?

Let’s take a step back

97 freaking percent drop

NINETY-SEVEN

it’s clearly COVID high jacking. How in denial does a person have to be to not see this by the numbers alone.
