Omicron is less deadly than original Covid which is almost mathematically impossible. Very few calculators show enough numbers behind the decimal point to adequately quantify the survival rate.

Sounds bad but we had less than 200 hospitalizations a week ago statewide which was surprisingly low

Yeah the article says highest since October when they became the lowest of the whole pandemic

We all had the OG Rona at my house. Meh. Not as bad as the flu I had in 2019.

But a lot of people still think that 700k people died from Covid in the US so we still have plenty of people sipping the media fear porn.

Everyone responds differently to different medical ailments. The vast majority of people will be fine, show no or mild symptoms. Some will unfortunately be on the polar opposite end of the spectrum and end up dying or face hospitalization. Its sad to see but this is the nature of almost every condition out there.

Just have to continue on living life. Take precautions or do what you feel is best for you (stay home, get vaccinated, etc). Shutting everything down is not a long term solution.

I survived. Day 3 here and I feel like I’ll be better tomorrow.

I thought that everyday for 6 days when I had it. I felt so shitty I couldn't type on line, though. Anyway, I got my T cell immunity and will get the infusion if I come close to feeling like that again.

This was all planned. Omicron is the cold and they know it, but when you control the narrative you can make it seem like people are dying in the streets.

Because your state is run by fricking morons who have a vested financial interest in only tracking positive cases, at all costs.

Ok what’s your point.

That’s the reality.

It’s way past time to stop calling omicron “mild” if we’re being honest. That was probably a big mistake early on from the health experts to do so.

This is a big old pile of complete bullshite……data from all over the world shows exactly that…..Omicron results in overwhelmingly mild illness.

The flu is way more deadly than omicron, but they won't let this crisis go to waste.

I don’t see why everyone is so scared of a shot. Ridiculous. We could have been over this if everyone had stayed home in the beginning and gotten vaccinated as soon as the vaccines were available. But here we are and now it’s too late.

We were at records lows. We got up to 3000 for Delta. 450 is nothing especially if a good bit of them are in Nola

Fear porn for the covidians to bow down at the altar of fed gov and king Fauci. It's amazing to witness.

I've yet to know anyone to die of this deadly plague.

Someone one made a post last week talking about how low hospitalizations are, I told him it’s not a good thing to focus on if you are trying to argue COVID isn’t a big deal.

The number of hospitalizations will always go up as the virus spreads in a region because they test asymptomatic people. They test everyone that goes into the hospital for any reason.

So tell me how you know they are there for COVID or with COVID?

If they were being honest about this whole thing they would be telling us

Fauci is working 20 hours a day in his senior years to protect this country and y’all act like he’s the enemy. Without him and governors like JBE there would be possibly countless more lives lost

It’s also important to see to see the cases # so we can get an idea where we are in the surge time frame.

Almost as bad as going from 1 to 2 which is 100% so it could have been worse.
