apparently have a much better memory than you, because the people in the real world (I.E. not politicians or the media) who were rabidly trying to enforce masks, virtue signaling about vaccines and how we were all in it together, and being general Covidian nutjobs were certainly not fricking republicans
Early on a frick ton of people were supporting these stances in both sides. Obviously Dems were the driving force behind the longevity of it, but Republicans were shutting down shite early on too.

Red states weren’t the ones still locked down and trying to enforce mask mandates a year after everyone with a brain realized that Covid was a joke that was only mutating into a weaker virus
Fair, but acting like it started in 2021 is just revisionist history.

Also strange? That 100% of all strokes, heart attacks, blood clots, motorcycle deaths and suicide are a direct result of the 'jab'...

CNN made the ENTIRE world adopt tough, wide-ranging COVID restrictions. Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping got their marching orders from Anderson Cooper.

So when covid was at it’s peak they only lied 70% of the time. Not 99% of the time. What’s the big deal?
Many people were calling out the with Covid and from Covid stuff back then too.

Yeah, a friend of mine’s husband died of brain cancer, they had covid on his death certificate as cause of death. She was furious and made the hospital change it.
How many of those slipped through?

the death trackers were under trump, they went away once biden got in, even though more died in bidens 1st year than trumps last.
It’s crazy how that happened. Joe said he had a plan to tackle covid over and over during the debates. And his plan worked.
Just got the MSM to put their head in the sand and stop reporting all covid deaths….

What is wrong with you Kentucky?
It says in the article it was a mix of Flu and COVID. When student attendance dips to a certain point, most counties (especially smaller ones) will shut down to reduce spread for a couple of days and to sanitize the building.
That’s standard practice from even before COVID. Wasn’t uncommon to see schools out in the state close due to flu outbreaks in the fall.

covid deaths directly from virus was only 1%
Is it weird that I don’t even buy that it’s a full 1%?

Hard to read tone on a message board, but I was being sarcastic all the way around.
The hyperbole about looming shut downs was an opening to take a shot at Kentucky.
My wife teaches 5th grade, I know this happens.

This issue was raised by many on this board in the first year of the pandemic. This resulted in many downvotes and certain posters losing their minds. We need to round up some of the worst takes from those days and establish a hall of shame.

The link is talking about current numbers.
For the past is states...

The figures suggest just a handful of American lives are being lost directly to the virus each week. For comparison, the virus was behind one in three 'Covid deaths' at America's pandemic peak in 2021

1% may be a low number but if you were to wake up tomorrow and hear that you and your family have a 1/100 chance of dying, you still don’t feel too good about it.
Lol. That's not how it works.
