Covid 19 drug

Six of these patients were lost to follow up because 3 ended up in the ICU on a ventilator and 1 died. The medicines did show helpful clearing of viral load and may end up being a good treatment option but the sample was tiny and these 4 patients did much worse than the control group. Studies like this are put out quickly in an effort to help others treating Covid19 to see what may be worth trying and continuing to study but for the President of the US to say and tweet that this is “one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine” is not only presumptive but reckless and dangerous. Looks like the Dr. is citing only one of the case studies, and a very small one at that. There have been quite a few larger ones in several different countries including this one since. It is effective

If it stops just half of the severe cases the death rate drops drastically to influenza levels.
There is no treatment for any diseases/virus that is a cure for all and thinking this is the same is naive but apparently will be the MSMs new scare tactic.

This is correct. It's not like it's a cure for cancer. Rather it's a possible ally in the fight against covid-19. I'm hopeful, but I agree that more data is needed to really sell me on it. Hopefully we'll have more of that data soon as people start trying it in controlled studies.
