Correct. There is another prevention, a gate, that was malfunctioning when they tried to raise it.
He drove through that gate.
All the yellow bollards they have put out would not prevent what happened. He drove through a separate section of sidewalk, not around the white gate.

This isn't his first rodeo and won't end his business. I mean the guys at Turkey and Wolf flat out said "if you voted for Trump don't go there" and they are doing fine.

How do you replace bollard without having the old ones removed?
Not during NY/Sugar Bowl week?

There is always something. First parades start tomorrow. Mardi Gras before after that.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, any Saints Weekend....

Makes sense since hops has estrogenic effects, look up “brewers droop.”

I'm sure he had that same energy while he was marking his ballots at his local polling station, right?

wonder if they will now consider adding a bollard on each sidewalk, or would ADA preclude that
There will definitely be a sidewalk bollard. You can keep enough space for pedestrians and handicap while blocking a car.
This is the biggest thing people are overlooking. They wanted NO to put a garbage truck blocking the road? They had a car blocking the road. The truck jumped the sidewalk and went around the road and car. If they put a car on the sidewalk, then imagine a shooting on Bourbon. Everyone starts running and now they can’t escape because there is a car blocking the sidewalk.
New Orleans DID block the road. They FAILED to think of using temporary barricades for the sidewalk.

Not from what I understand

He was a big proponent of bussing people to polling stations. Not as bad as Avenue Pib who offered a free bar tab but still.

In most thoughtful designs, you’d call that a light post, as an example of us all being completely fine with hardening a sidewalk area while also providing function
We however like to pretend this is complicated in Nola

I wonder if this assclown would even state that it was caused by Islamic terrorism?

It was equipment being used on the construction site right there. The building it was in front of is currently undergoing a renovation

"Certain people" (mainly leftists) love to blame larger society instead of the person who committed the act.

Certainly.
The abundance of police on foot and horseback in the FQ, when other entire precincts have a single squad car patrolling, is one example.
The cleanup of the homeless in advance of big events like the Superbowl is another. At other times city leaders don’t care.

I will definitely be boycotting this coffee shop going forward. Also, their coffee sucked and was inferior to French Truck.
