There must be over 1000 different ways to apprehend a suspect and serve a warrant. A no knock warrant is by far the most dangerous way for every single person involved.

Just read that the charges against the boyfriend have not been dropped, only shelved.
They could still try to frick him.

Then why did they try to cover it up in the incident report?
I'm not standing for anyone here. My point is, who's to say that is the ones executing the warrant are the ones who effed up. Maybe there was another cop or a judge where the blame really belongs but the ones who were there and pulled the trigger will get all of the repricussions, even though they acted in self defense.

No clue who that is.

He started out as one of those Internet PUA's, teaching boys how to be "Alpha"... for a fee, of course.
When that failed, he moved onto his current Black Panther For Profit shtick.

if a cop did the shooting who had no part in a bad warrant then of course THAT cop shouldn't be prosecuted
if the warrant was bad, any officer involved in the creation of the bad warrant should be prosecuted for felony murder, though
the civilian who shot should certainly have any and all charges rejected, because he didn't do anything illegal. LEO was in his house illegally and he should have the full rights to kill all of them without legal/criminal repercussion

I left the rest of your quote off because criminals can shout claiming they are cops. Break in my house when I'm home, lead will fly.

don't know how no-knock warrants are legal.
100% agree

Yep that’s why no knocks are stupid. Seriously bad for every party involved.

you'd think after that HPD situation (where the same types were making the same arguments) people would listen
Posted on 6/18/20 at 4:53 pm to SlowFlowPro
That would mean people had to learn and adapt to things changing.

True, I meant things changing as in not being what they thought it was. Thinking it was a good raid and the HTX people were drug kingpins vs the actual facts.

If those cops skate they should burn Louisville down.

I agree and that's exactly what i'm getting at.
Whoever created that situation should be the one holding the bag.

Ok, here is what the local news just reported.
Judges requested that windows be boarded up a couple of days ago after a protester threw a rock at one of the windows.

Sorry to respond so late but I had to get work done. I agree that if someone lied to get that warrant they need to do time. And not to excuse this event, but I would assume a prosecution of the police involved would give us a lot more of the truth of what happened and why. This may have just been a stupid and deadly mistake.

Don't forget - do away with qualified immunity too.
True conservatives dislike qualified immunity as much as true liberals.

There were no body cams on during the no-knock because the officers were told they didn't have to have them on since they were in "plain clothes".
Unreal. Not only a no knock but plain clothes so they look like someone attempting to break in.
Sounds like LPD is a shitshow.
*No knocks (and asset forfeiture) need a quick death.

It was Sarcasm.
Protestors even set different (lower) expectations for themselves as they do others. When you see yourself as violent why wouldn't others?
