Old quote. Anticipation of death is worse than death itself. They need to do it a couple more times even if they stayed the execution.

WHAT?!?!?! She deserved to die 30 years ago after what she did. No remorse, carried a peice of the victims skull around. TRASH.

Then she tried to strangle a fellow inmate to death while on death row back in 2001 before attempting a brazen escape from prison several years after that. I am not normally in favor of the death penalty but this woman has proven that she is unable to live in society and is like a rabid dog that needs to be put down.

Words like "monster" and "evil" are thrown around too flippantly in this day and age, but I can confidently say that those words apply to Christa Pike.

Too bad the judicial system couldn’t halt her cold blooded execution of the victim.

Or not?

Seeing reports that two doses of phenobarbital hadn't put her down so they were having to end the procedure.

You're always alive for some time after the lethal injection.
Just a matter of time.

Note: I am pro execution as a crime deterrent, but against its taking decades to follow through, nearly to the point of why bother now?

Nor will I "celebrate" her death, I will mourn for her victim and family.

I thought it was sodium pentathol?

Phenobarbital is an anti seizure medicine.

Phone autocorrected. Tennessee actually uses pentabarbitol.

In 2013, Arkansas looked at using a combination of lorazepam and phenobarbital as their execution cocktail but it got hung up in court and they never tried it.

I believe the loophole is in the original text the Bible reads "Thou shalt not murder" and was mistranslated into English as "Thou shalt not kill"
quote:

Burn in hell
instead of the murderer/torturer?
