I don't want kids right now at almost 28. Will that change in a few years? Probably
But not now
But not now

Can't argue with that. There are many people in this world that have no business reproducing.

Kids aren't for everyone.
It really is that simple.
I seriously thought about not having them and realized I did want them. But I'm so glad I actually let myself seriously consider both paths instead of just having that mentality of "well you are supposed to have kids...that's just what you do" like so many have.

Everyone I know who decided to not have kids, change their minds once they got married. I would expect people who make that decision too early would regret it.

Why complicate the marriage with kids.
Even though you use complicate with a negative connotation, some people enjoy the complexity kids bring to a relationship. I don't think a healthy marriage is complicated by kids, at least not in the way you are thinking.
It's sort of ridiculous to try and convince people not to have kids. What purpose would that serve? It's nearly as ridiculous to convince people who don't want kids that they should have them. It's of no consequence to you as a third party, and having parents that don't want you sounds like a shitty life.
To answer the OP, I'd say barely more than half of people eventually regret not having kids, but for the most part, it's not some debilitating regret.

someone will have to choose your nursing home.

My neighbors opted for this. They both retired early, moved to a beach area, have lots of stuff and act like they love it. They post lots of pics of beach an other selfies. He once told me he was too selfish to share $ and time on others. The wife was a bonus because she had a great job and this was right up his alley because of the extra cash scenario.

Kids are fricking annoying and I can't figure out why anybody would want them. Yes, ALL kids. YOUR kids. They're annoying.

How would someone who chose not to have kids ever know if they made the right choice?
Think about how retarded this statement is.

Birth control has been around since ancient times. The Romans used tied-off lamb intestines for condoms.

Here's what I'm saying. What ab people who look at other peoples kids and think "damn, that's awful. I'm never doing that".
How can you ever know for sure that that is the right choice for yourself if you cannot compare it to the other option.
And I'm not saying have kids just for the hell of it. I saying how are you ever 100% sure?

How does this not equally apply to the inverse? I know plenty of miserable people with kids. How can you know 100% that you wouldn't have enjoyed life more without them? Oh, that's right, you can't know 100% about any path you don't take.
It's a ridiculous opinion.

Yeah, we are in our late 30s and married and have taken 3 vacations this summer with our kids.
All kinds of fun, couldn't imagine doing it without them.
I truly feel sorry for people that can't share their life's joy with their children.
It's gotta suck.
