It's so sad to see how many people on this board can't imagine wanting to spend time with their spouse/partner.

Some people actually like each other.

So you’re okay with her coming back with all sorts of extra unneeded things and nothing that you want. And you don’t say anything about it. She’s wearing the pants. Congrats on being grocery cucked.

Jones buys way more extra random shite than me. That’s why I like when he comes. Lots of extra food that I don’t have to pay for.

Couples in the grocery store don’t bother me. Both parents plus their whole family of kids does. But that’s typically only something I see when I’ve been dragged to Neighborhood Walmart.

I do the grocery shopping at our house. My wife doesn’t know what’s a good steak or ground meat, pork butt, etc. - or maybe she does and has been plane for all these years.

We bring the teenager with us sometimes when we go but it's mostly so she can pick her own food for school and after school. If we ask her what she wants she'll tell us 2 things but if we take her she'll get enough stuff to last her a week or two.

TF does it matter to you? Find someone you enjoy spending time with and you'll stop worrying about what other people do with theirs.

I used to enjoy shopping with my wife, due to an accident last summer, I can't stand very long. So I go in, pick out the meats and produce, then go wait in the car. My wife has never checked a price in her life, if I don't monitor, she'll overspend and buy unusable junk such as caviar crackers.

This alpha beta stuff sounds pretty high school. I don't give a shite what some gen-z moron thinks.

We don’t shop together because we are bad influences on each other. Our bill will double if we go in a store together. The kids love it because they know the potential for a lot of extra goodies goes way up. Otherwise…we really like shopping together!

This. I rarely brought my children but I absolutely did not tolerate anything but standing next to me and minding their business. Kids running around wild anywhere (except the park or some other child appropriate place) is a huge pet peeve.

To add to this, I just wanted to get out of the house. We tried a new (to us) restaurant first, then to the grocery store and got groceries... some for meals she cooks, some for the meals I cook.
And got back in time to watch both LSU get their arse kicked (again) and watch some football.

I work so much and my wife works until 1 everyday, so she does the majority of the shopping. When I'm off on a day during the week, we like to go to Kroger together and get a few items. It's time we can spend together and reconnect away from the house.
