LSU leadership really needs to flex its power within the city and state governments to get the areas around campus cleaned up. It's embarrassing to bring people to LSU because you have to drive through such dysfunction just outside of campus.

I'm not trying to be a dick, because I've done it before (both being a dick and jaywalking there), but jaywalking across that road is taking a risk, even if it's during the day, and everyone is completely sober.

That’s awful. I’m sorry for your loss. Something similar happened when I was a student at Southeastern in the late 00s when a few students were struck and killed by a drunk driver leaving the bar.

We do understand that governors do not get directly involved with the specific workings of these DOTD projects, right? For example, the Hwy 30 work may have been pitched under JBE or maybe even Jindal.
