I don't watch Nascar, but I was damn happy to be able to get a haircut yesterday and go to a Nola bar and grill and eat wings and drink good beer on the patio.
Headed to the beach on Friday. Things are looking up.

NASCAR had the opportunity to be the only sport through the pandemic because of the safety equipment used by all... All the drivers & pit crews have helmets, FRC masks/Gloves.
Felt like they missed the boat. Gotta give them props for being the first back.
ETA: Sim racing didn’t feel like the real deal. But it was something....

What's positive about the only live sports (if you call NASCAR a sport) being NASCAR. If I want to see people drive fast and wreck I will go watch I-10 for 3 hrs.

They had live PBR Bull riding on and it just struck me as funny that some of the riders were wearing facemasks. I think back to the Larry Mahan days when they did not even wear helmets or flak jackets.
