I don't attend concerts to hear personal political opinions. Just sing Tennessee Whiskey.

Me neither brother, me neither. And although I can't say for sure, because I've not been to one of his shows, but I would assume this type of stuff ain't gonna be heard in that setting, only in this type of situation I'd imagine. CBS morning show I think this particular instance was.

There is a difference between not supporting someone based on their public views and actively trying to ruin someone’s life because you disagree with them. I don’t think the latter will be in play here for Stapleton.

Glad I never liked him before. Won’t make any difference when I don’t listen to him in the future.

From the quotes shared, it sounds like he said that black lives matter, not that he's fully behind the Black Lives Matter movement. Which, at this point, isn't necessarily synonymous. I'm not reading the article so that take could be inaccurate.

I like his music though so I hope he doesn't get canceled like the Dixie Chick's did.

what was really going on in the country.
What’s really going on is that 70% of Black children grow up without a father. A large percentage don’t do well in school and turn to crime when they get older. A large percentage of those who aren’t outright criminals at the very least don’t respect authority and are told growing up that cops are out to get them.

Then when they do have an interaction with a cop, some act out. And a small number of those who act out end up getting shot.

That’s what’s going on. It’s not racist cops roaming around looking for black people to shoot. If we’re going to have a real conversation, it has to include the role that black people play in getting shot by police.

If Black people don’t want to have that conversation, then they really don’t want a *real* conversation.

And guess what, there’s plenty of white people like that too who don’t respect authority and get shot by police. The difference is white people don't automatically support the person who was shot just because he shares their skin color.

Any conversation should start out with, “ you shouldn’t break the law, but if you do, try compliance”. It can evolve from there but the simple truth is most of these victims wouldn’t be dead if they hadn’t broken the law in the first place.

Incoming cancel culture from the poliboard. Better duck.

I don't see anyone saying that he shouldn't be allowed to record and play music, like your little prog figs do for people they don't like.

See the difference?
