Some people will enjoy Aldi. We have one by our house that we use for produce and basics. I still have to go to other stores for things like meat and cat litter and shite like that. The produce is as cheap as the nearby asian and mexican groceries and is a better quality. I'd rank their produce quality higher than Kroger and Publix for half the price.
As for the clientele, ours has a mix of white chicks in yoga pants and Kurds and Hispanics and Asians and black people and whoever else. A true cross section.

Aldi is hit or miss. It's way cheaper than other grocery stores, and some of the products taste just as good if not better than the name brand. But some stuff is much worse than the name brand. You just gotta do some trial and error to see which name brand products you can replace and which Aldi products to avoid.
But you can get staples really cheap too like produce, milk, eggs, etc.
You probably won't use it as the only grocery store you go to. I never buy meat from there, for example... it's just not as good as meat from HEB, but it's a good store to save some money on a good bit of your groceries.

The OT never ceases to amaze me, getting excited about Aldi, which is trashy and for poors. You better hope one doesn't show up in your neighborhood b/c the ones in Dallas are only in shitty areas of town.

Just googled and they don't show an Aldi in Southlake, I'd be very surprised if they had one there. I don't know of any in predominantly affluent, Caucasian neighborhoods. They're all over Garland and the Barrios of West Dallas.

ETA: it's in the "four corners" area where Southlake, Colleyville, North Richland Hills, and Keller all abut so they could have any one of those four addresses

I've been to an ALDI in Australia. I wasn't very impressed with it. It was interesting though that you had to put a $2 deposit in to use a buggy. You'd get the $2 back if you brought the buggy back to the corral at the front of the store.

their produce is better and cheaper than what i found at my local kroger. also half the time kroger bag boys were mia and i had to bag my own shite. or they had all their registers closed except for the self check out. frick kroger.

From what my wife and MIL says, they have the freshest and generally best produce.

You nailed it...you wont get everything you need there, but I would much rather run into Aldi if I need a few ingredients for dinner than Kroger. You can get in and out in hardly any time. The checkers don't bag your groceries, and don't small talk...they ring up you stuff and put it back in a buggy. It is faster than parking at Kroger and going through the self checkout.
