There are plans for multiple locations already in the works. North Shore and South shore.

They have some interesting stuff you cant find in regular stores.
But not good for everyday shopping.
I think its the same parent company as Trader Joes

I saw a documentary or something and basically two partners split. One stated trader joes and the other Aldi. Something like that.

I believe you're right, that's another greatly over rated place too, imo

It's actually a German chain....I thought for the longest time it was Hispanic, probably because of all the Hispanics shopping there

I feel like I'm eating crazy pills sometimes because I do not understand the love for Aldi and TJ's
ETA: For the DVers, we have Publix here, so eat a bag of... dirt.

It's good for staple items. Super cheap.
Plus, the grocery game in NOLA is pretty pathetic. Any new market entrants will be nice, even if just for a change of pace.

Aldi just dumped a ton of money in a buildout for the one close to us.
They have some interesting items. The brots and schnitzel are top notch. The Meat department sucks. Decent everyday wine selection. But overall they have good prices.

Aldi is amazing and they are moving to 100% organic and still going to offer discounted pricing.
Everything I’ve ever bought from there has been great quality, what they’re doing is great and I think they will do well in LA.

My prediction was that Aldi was going to be the store built at the new Kmart in Elmwood.

Aldi is already known for white trash and ghetto people, and now they are coming to Louisiana?
This I have to see

Not sure if that spot is too big, but the location sure makes a lot of sense. Especially if they end up building those condos around there.
