A bobcat even with its size is iffy but it isn't going to stay around, but in a cage the bobcat would likely die but certainly could inflict mortal wounds.
A cougar on the other hand unless one got lucky with the first kick as it attack would slice a human up in no time.
Keep in mind pound for pound cats are some of the most capable killers on earth. Pound for pound a dog is a joke to the cats.

A regular person, no. The average OT baw, easily. In fact, they could frick up a black bear without much effort and probably fight to a draw with a gator eight feet or smaller.

And I would damn sure let it, nor would I instigate it in the first place, but in a battle to the death it loses every single time.

I wish a motherfricking bobcat would meet me at Sonic. Worst decision of that cats life, let me tell you. Bitch better check my knuckles before I whoop that arse.

I'm quite sure that once that bobcat realized you ENJOY being hit, he'd do the smart thing and get the frick out of there.

This.

It depends on the person fighting the bobcat. If it's Jim McEwain, then one strike from that buttertooth outta do it

I can barely subdue a dachshund in that situation, and he isn't even trying to hurt me. He just wants out of my lap.

You would have lacerations more than an inch deep.

I'm not sure most of the posters here could take down a common house cat much less a bobcat.

I have two new kittens and I look like a rapist with all the scratches on my arms, neck, and chest.

Bobcats are pretty small, I'm not going to say that an average person could take one, but an average adult male should be able to.
They can inflict damage if they wanted to, but not like a bear or mountain lion.

Don't be a pussy about it and get aggressive. And why are you trying to hold on to it? Grab it and throw it as hard as you can onto the ground. It will without a doubt scratch you up, and probably bite you, but you're 100 times stronger than it.
This is just like when dogs let cats scratch their eyes and lose a fight. If the dog would simply attack with aggression it would bite the cats head off and end the fight in 2 seconds, yet they get hit once and run off with their tail between their legs b/c they were't aggressive enough.

Only wild animal I've actually ever been in a fight with was a Canadian goose on the farm. I was out of the truck working and they were nesting nearby. He ran at me and I kicked it in the head with steel toe boots. I also had one chase after my truck..it got to flying right behind the back glass and I hit the brakes and it slammed into truck

Those big geese were all over my complex where I used to live. They were constantly going after people. I hit one upside the head with a golf club and threw it in the dumpster. Glad I disposed of it too because a neighbor told me later if you got caught killing one, even if it attacked you, they’d evict you.
