Cost for movers on a local move

So will being moving the week after the 4th and due to an injury I will not be able to lift anything or help much in the moving.
Instead of relying on family I am thinking of just hiring a moving company. Anyone have an idea on what it would cost? Everything should easily fit on one truck.

You have no idea what you’re doing huh?
At any rate, contact local movers and get a quote. Without knowing the size of your house no one can guess how much it will cost you

In general, I would say “Don’t hire All My Sons.”

3 or 4 man crew will probably cost around 150 an hour, truck included.

I did this recently and I’m pretty sure I got screwed lol, but all my shite did get moved and six months later it’s whatever.
It was like $700 for three hours and this was the lowest after calling around. I’m a single guy and do live in a house, but it’s not like I have a wife and kids with a bunch of shite too.
Maybe that price is normal though. It was the first time I’d used a company. I initially thought it was extremely high.

I paid around $800 for around 6 hours. If I were you, get someone you trust to move valuables like jewelry. Don’t let some hired guys move that. I guarantee you it won’t end well.

4 years ago I paid a crew to move my heavy furniture only 5 miles. Was right at $550 with tips.

Look at all those one star Yelp reviews for BR

I always got people together and then bought a ton of poboys or boiled shrimp. One friend skirted on the pobpys 18 years ago and we still call his cheap arse out over it. I didn't move you for Subway Italian trios, man.

Contact Henry Hauling. Guys do a great job and based out of BR but will go wherever needed.

That is around what I paid to move my post flood furniture from a rental to a house we bought. No kids or years of possessions. But it was 3 BR of stuff.
We paid $1700 to move half my mother in laws crap some months back. Downsized from 3000 Sq ft to 1500. But she has an ungodly amount of stuff.

Just did this in August. Move was 17 miles and the movers did everything but boxing.
Home size was 3200 sq ft and cost was a little over 2k.

It rhymes with “Brie Shitty”.
What is the nature of your disability?
Is it something that will get better?
We hope you are mending, we need you here at full strength.

Anyone moving after you graduate college that doesn't hire movers and gets people to help is trashy
Nobody wants to help people move
Quick and easy just pay the money and be done with it

Good luck, I mean that.
As long as it’s not from fisting or other Aggie-like activities.
