Absolutely, no I've seen the pictures and I get it. But still, what they are doing is like FEMA after Katrina. Its serious government work here.

Yep. Adding 2300 new beds when they only have 2700 confirmed cases doesn’t make a lot of sense especially when only 600 are considered serious or critical.

Bruh, are you seriously trying this hard to be an anti doomsdayer? I'm not a doomsdayer at all, but China is building a 1,000 bed hospital in 10 days in a city of 11 million people. I don't know how many hospital beds they have already, but if this was truly only 6,000 cases they sure as shite wouldn't build a new hospital in a city of 11 million.

Oh dear Lord.

You going to the hospital if you know there are 150 coronavirus patients throughout the facility? Of course not. They have room, but they're trying to keep the patients isolated from the regulars.

Not to mention, they are not building it for the patients they have right now. They are probably building to the projected patients.

The hospital makes perfect sense. Prior to that, they were trying to move/keep all patients at a singular regular hospital.

??

1. Hospitals have no control on who shows up in their ER
2. Every hospital has or at least should have isolation protocols.
3. Every hospital has contagious pts in them and no one avoids them because of that.

It was right in front of us the whole time too... I blame the Umbrella Corporation.

LINK

quote:

It's been noted online that there are some weird connections between the coronavirus and Capcom's Resident Evil franchise. Besides the obvious link of Resident Evil's plot generally revolving around viral outbreaks, it turns out that there is a biological research lab in Wuhan, China with a logo that looks exactly like a color-swapped Umbrella Corporation logo. For those who haven't been following the news, Wuhan is one of the cities that has been quarantined by the Chinese government in an effort to keep the coronavirus situation from becoming a full-blown epidemic.

quote:

And for those who may not be completely familiar with Resident Evil lore, the Umbrella Corporation fronts itself as a pharmaceutical company, when it reality it is developing bio-weapons to sell to the highest bidder. Its biological experiments accidentally result in viral outbreaks that turn people into zombies and other mutated creatures. It's a strange coincidence that a company with the Umbrella logo is located in Wuhan when one considers what the Umbrella Corporation is associated with in the Resident Evil universe.

The virus in Resident Evil is also known as the C-virus (coronavirus). All I know is if Honkus comes back as a zombie the OT is in big trouble.

That’s a lot of words ignoring its public knowledge that they are concentrating confirmed and suspected coronavirus treatment exclusively at Jin Yin-tan Hospital.

Right now if you are suspected of infection at Wuhan, you are sent there.

Imagine frontline ER workers are employing some derivative of BSL2 protocol for triage purposes.

it’s only close if your hands are already clean.

Best practice is to get in the habit of not touching your face and washing your hands well before eating.

If you did it in less than 20 seconds you didn’t do it well. Don’t forget the nails.

Proper hand washing is best.

This thread could use some potentially good news:

Hong Kong Researchers May Have Coronavirus Vaccine

The unfortunate thing is that it may take more than a year to finish clinical trials for human use.

Are comparisons being made between China and their news information about this virus and how the old Soviet Union handled the Chernobyl disaster in the world media?

How much capacity do you think most hospitals have for patients that need to be quarantined?

It would be stupid to.

An apt comparison of the two events would be how China handled SARS, not this. There’s some obstruction, particularly on the local level, but they didn’t wait till enough cases traced back to them internationally before making it public.

SU did for their equivalent.

There's a lot of grumbling. This article offers a good look at the corruption and frustration in Wuhan:

Confusion and Lost Time

The problem is that the world community - scientists, in particular - don't want to completely shut down all lines of communication with Chinese leadership. China has a habit of getting pouty when it receives too much criticism, and we need them to share as much information as we can get for now.

Actually, there's every reason to believe we could make a strong comparison between Chernobyl and China's inept handling of this crisis, especially from a transparency and political corruption perspective.

What part, the part where you'll turn into a zombie?

Are you serious? search engines are your friend. It may be a stretch to call the center's location in Wuhan since the company literally has Shanghai in its name, but I dont know enough about Chinese geography to know how much of a stretch that is.
