Damn I didn’t think UMC would be getting full this quick. I know Ochsner isn’t full and East Jefferson isn’t maxed out. But if Touro and UMC are getting full then I would expect quarantines in the next week, just my opinion, and completely a guess. It’s going to be a long ride.

Since Friday people here have basically been at home. We have seen a steady drop since Sunday of people coming to the hospital. Of course people who do show up are sicker...

Plus we all tend to forget the patients in intensive care for a number of other reasons that may also require ventilators, like strokes etc.

I don't understand this. Pretty sure I've read data suggesting that virus is detectable for a month or longer regardless of clinical improvement. And we've read anecdotal accounts from people in quarantine who continued to test positive long after they were feeling fine.
Maybe they're now considered non-infectious regardless of potentially prolonged positive testing? Otherwise, not sure why Louisiana has decided to issue this "clinical guidance to return to normal activity", unless there's some new data to back it up.
