I'd definitely hang onto it in case it gets crazier.

I am dropping it off at the airport, so hopefully I’ll know prior to that. I would hope if they banned domestic travel, it would be “as of X day” vs effective immediately.

Not if they fast track it. There will be people that line up to test it. And probably paid handsomely.

The CDC has said that a fast tracked perfect run will take at least one year to get to production.

Do these shutdowns include things like barbershops, cleaners, car repair shops, etc?

Don’t you think other countries could start using them before we do? I would think other countries don’t require as much testing.

There is zero chance that holds true if it's as bad as many are saying. At some point, risk avoidance becomes risk acceptance. It can't be as bad as many in this thread thinks it is or will become and still take a year.

I fly tomorrow at 11AM PST. I’m flying out of Burbank. Also scared for my friend who is flying out of LAX (will be Ubering there). She’s service industry and has no means to arrange another way home. Of course she could ride with me but we will be an hour apart at our different airports.

What do you think? You want to go into a barbershop right now? I don’t.

I would think you’re good for tomorrow. A week or two weeks from now who knows.

Safe travels.

Sorry, I’m assuming that you had a primary immunodeficiency disease. You said your immune system was compromised

I’m not the OP, but you sound like you have some knowledge of PIs. I’m guessing you either have one, have a family member with one, or treat PI patients.

I have CVID (never realized until now that’s only one letter short of COVID ) along with interstitial lung disease. Respiratory illnesses are my kryptonite. I’m almost in a remission-type phase right now, in that my numbers aren’t great but I’m somehow having relatively few issues. I’m not too high on the idea of testing myself with this particular virus, though.
