Serious means they’re hospitalized and need care (there’s more specific criteria but generally speaking)
ICU probably means ventilated

I've lurked basically this whole thread and haven't seen anyone even come close to implying this.
Huge Trump supporter and Republican here - this shite started in China as a mutation to the "standard" coronaviruses somehow, possibly jumped from an animal, and it's probably not some conspiracy contrived by anyone in power anywhere. It's a potentially dangerous situation that we need to act on before it gets worse.
Is any of that "political" in any way? Because that's what the majority of this thread seems to believe.
Can we leave the political bullshite out of it? At least this thread? Your response and the infighting help nothing.

So why is this reporter getting flack for writing ICU when she should have written “serious”?
It hardy makes a difference in terms of bombshell if 50% of people with serious cases in France are under 60, as opposed to 50% of icu patients are under 60

Show me where someone implied "the libz started this" please.
I'll wait.

Yea, that is the literal definition of fearmongering.
Like most of this thread.

Difference between severe and critical/ICU for ARDS is oxygenation requirements. Non-invasive vs invasive (intubated) ventilation required to keep blood oxygenation, PF ratios etc compatible with life.

Im certainly proud that I don’t believe an opposing political party contrived a pandemic originating in China to undermine the walking tanning booth
So we are all good with calling it Wuhan virus to make sure we always remember exactly where it started?
